new Jay-Z video: no site of Hova, but crazy drug trippin' (memories--don't ask), an adorable Zoe Kravitz (daughter of Lenny and Lisa Bonet). the video is cool; there's a trend of "art" hip-hop videos i see approaching. can you dig it?
click here to watch the video... as soon as i can find a code to embed the video...it will be up
*sings..."i know, i know, i know...'
remember when Ashanti first came out in 2002 and you bought her cd the day it came out because "Foolish" was the score to your relationship drama with that one guy you couldn't let go of? DON'T FRONT NOW??!! ;) well, she's baaack ... usually i just breeze over her work being that i couldn't grab onto her during the years.... but i'm really feeling this one. however, i just hope it's not the case of the hot first single then you buy the album and it's lackluster . i'll keep my fingers crossed.
so this is where Huey Lewis and Macy Gray have been??!!
having some fun online i came across the vid for promoting the inspiration behind the World Tour Collection series... really wanting those London and New Dehli's!!

on the new issue of People magazine Nicole Richie is on the cover with her one and a half month old baby girl Harlow. i've always had love for Nicole (hence my love for oversized Dior sunglasses the summer of 2006 lol) but all in all it's good to see that she is finally in a good and healthy place. i can't wait to pick up my copy of the glossy this Friday...

about 1am she went on stage and performed a new song which was very cool. but i must honestly say i was there for the old joints. when the beat dropped for "Ice King" i had to pause. i sat in the front with my friend Karen and sang my heart out. so much so that Res and i were in serious eye contact as she walked over to me and gave me a personal 3 second show. shortly after, she performed "They Say Vision" which also had myself and everyone in a beautiful haze. after her solo set Talib Kweli came on stage and mingled and did some songs as well including "Hostile Gospel Pt. 1". Dres from Black Sheep was also in the house (can we say old school??). all in all, i must say for $5 it was a pretty cool time.

new video by UK's Estelle featuring Kanye West...yesss as we all know, i'm feeling anything that has to do with London right about now!
Miley Ray Cyrus: she was very age appropriate in this red Valentino gown.
Jessica Alba: how cute was this mommy to be? her plum Marchesa gown was adorned with feathers at the bust and her dress beautifully draped over her belly. fyi...she said to Ryan Seacrest that she is in her third trimester
Keri Russel: while everyone was in bold colors or red, Keri came through in this nudish champagne Nina Ricci gown. very simple...very lovely...
Jennifer Garner: i think if i had to choose one look for myself, this one would be it. from her hair, to her makeup, and all the way down to the last tier of this Oscar de la Renta gown it's just perfection.
Anne Hathaway: this picture doesn't really give her Marchesa gown much justice, but she was radiant. i believe last year she did have a flop on her hands with her ensemble, however she definitely redeemed herself this year.
hold up, wait a minute! earlier on today sen. Clinton felt the need to drag sen. Obama down during her campaign in Ohio. she was very upset about fliers that came from Obama's camp indicating that Clinton was for NAFTA implying that it would be a "boon" to the economy. although it's been reported that she has praised NAFTA before, Clinton responded to these "accusations" by exclaiming "shame on you" and "enough of the speeches and the big rallies..." listen I'm all for a woman running for president. when you step back and really look at the whole picture, this is the most historic Presidential election EVER. but I'm going to have to go with my boy on this one... especially due to the fact that a lot of people didn't think he would get this far or feel/felt as though he really doesn't have it in him to lead our country. face it-- the next President of the United States of America will most likely be a man by the name BARACK OBAMA. it doesn't get any blacker than that.hey Chelsea... this one's for you...
i came across Yugop just playing around online, and this site is pretty damn cool. the graphics make my Macbook look so dope (i know i sound like a nerd--but it's true). fyi: Yugop is a Japanese based site, so you know that it's advanced AND sick. check it out for yourself and click on everything you can just to see what happens...
Reebok has launched it's World Tour Collection freestyle sneakers and i must say... they're awesome. the six different styles pull inspiration from the most fashionable places on the globe: New York, Paris, London, Tokyo, Madrid, and New Delhi (pictured above). the Tokyo pairs are now available for purchase and the other styles will be released throughout the year. for more information on these stylish sneaks click here for the official site.
the babies are here! that's right, BABIES. apparently Jennifer and Marc had their twins early friday morning in a Long Island, NY hospital. their baby girl was born first at a little over 5lbs then about 15 minutes later their son came in at 6lbs. it's been rumored that the names for the puerto rican princess and prince are Max and Emme. felicitaciones!!!
Randy Jackson & Paula Abdul "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow"
the choreography is really cool and it's something i'd listen to if it happend to come on in my car. however, this video does have some cheesy moments with the black and white super imposed cheerleaders, the one too many mic stand tricks, and the cameos by ryan and simon (randy produced the song, so his appearance is semi ok). anyways....enjoy.

so while we're waiting for the tour to come to a town near oh i don't know MAJOR cities, we can just enjoy this mixtape until more dates are announced.

so let's forget the Fashion Week story of her missing the toilet. ms. Banks has some new things for you to talk about. first is the new season of America's Next Top Model premiering this wednesday on the CW. second is a brand new show set to premiere this spring on the same network. apparently it's the love child of the Apprentice and the Devil Wears Prada. hopefuls will be working towards creating assigned projects towards magazine layouts, and whoever doesn't make the grade is cut. the grand prize is a position for a fashion magazine. i'm sure that with Tyra behind this, it will surely become a hit...and also be played on MTV and Vh1 for many weekends to come.
