Amazing from kwest on Vimeo.
I was familiar with the song when the album came out, but it struck a chord in me when I was in EWR (Newark Airport) in January and I was about to embark on my first trip to Guyana. The song was playing in a music shop and all I could hear was "It's amazing/ It's amazing/ It's amazing/ So amazing" and I truly believe that set the tone for my whole trip.

Want a rant and rave? You've come to the right post... So I'm going to start by saying this has been brought to you courtesy of Twitter, facebook, MySpace and whatever networking site shares more information than one should know about.
Lately I've been feeling like the "cool kids" just aren't that cool. When I started with the idea of fM and I was just blogging on my MySpace page, I looked to many sites and people for inspiration how to go about things.
After getting my feet wet and going to different events and meeting these people I had the mindset of, "Ok, you're just like me, but now you're ahead of the game and I admire you for that."
Let's fast forward to NOW. I am not impressed. I love people, especially women, making moves and doing things for themselves-i really REALLY do. But I can't stand feeling belittled for admiring them. You're really not better than anyone. No one is.
And with Twitter (lawd) I'm sure I could twit about my Lexus, first class trips, Louboutin shoes, chillin' with all my girls (and guys), bullsh*t, bullsh*t, bullsh*t. WHO CARES?????? Then again, I'm sure that's an off question, especially since these people have so many followers who suck up the tweets like root bear floats.
I believe my fellow Twitter friend AlmightyDjko said (or twitted) it best,
I think im too old for this twitter shit.. everyone my age is stuck up and douched out [...] I guess the ultimate gauge of twitter coolness is to have a ton of followers and only follow a handful... the lesser the better....
I feel like people are so overrated and for the wrong reasons. There's no substance to anything, and this lack of substance leaves the field dry. I've been so uninspired lately because things have become so wack. I'm fin to start my own movement. And oh, I'm so over this "90s" charade. I lived through it from the ages of 7-17-I'M GOOOOODDDD. (totally another post lol)
Anyway, the point of this post is-I'm over it. If you're too good to be a regular human being that is approachable and likable then F.U. And to the "followers" who want to be "followed" like these people...please...DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
man oh man; this song popped into my head when I was at work earlier this week. when I YouTubed it I could not stop laughing!!!! I remember this being requested on The Box (old tv show) a loooot. very nostalgic.

"ON SOME BULL..." OFFICIAL VIDEO
I saw these ladies live a little while back at the Fila store in NY. they were awesome!!! and even though they performed this unknown song (at the time) the crowd was hyped off of their great energy on stage. So if you ever hear people front on NS..."f*ck what ya' heard!"

Yes I was one of the manyyyyy that attended the TopShop NYC opening.

When I think of TopShop, I think of floral prints. My first purchase was at the original location in LDN and I scored a floral dress, top and cute earrings; so there was no question that my first purchase in the US store would be FLORAL.

ps. mi Madre said she also shopped at TopShop during her London living days...cool!!!!

this week i added a lil glimmer to my digits. base color is by N.Y.C. Nail Glossies with Vinyl Shine in color 239 accented with black, white and gold.

Sorry for the delay on the Henri Bendel x Mally Beauty in store session. Let me just start by saying that Thursday morning was pure drama and I almost decided on skipping the event. But after a deep breath and a shower lol I got myself together and made my way to 5th Avenue.
Let me just say Mally was the sweetest and cutest thing ever. She went around to everyone at the Mally counters getting their makeup done and you would've thought everyone was her long lost girlfriend. Once she got around to me I couldn't control myself. I told her how much I loooved her products and MallyBeauty.com (ps she even recorded me for the site) and that I had also taken the day off of work just to see her. I can't tell you how many times we hugged and laughed together!! When I was checking out she even asked to take a picture with me (sorry for the frizzy hair lol). But I had a blast and Mally has noooo idea how much she turned my day around :)

In case you were wondering (of course you were) I can't live without my Shimmer Shape and Glow in In the Pink Deep, Mally Beauty Cancellation Concealer 3-piece System in Rich, LightWand Eye Highlighter& Brightener and Life, Love & A Really Great LipGloss in Life is Fuchsia... but of course!!

Nicole Richie and beau Joel Madden were at the Santa Monica, CA grand opening of Esprit (my bread and butter). They were a part of the 'How We Met' campaign and 10% of all the sales went towards their Richie-Madden Children's Foundation.
I must say I've been obsessing over my favorite socialite lately and have also picked up mags with Ms. Richie as the cover girl.

ps. the scarf she's wearing is Esprit and in stores now!! LOVES ITTTTTTTTTTTT! ;)
