i love this group, they're like a modern No Doubt. this lead singer is amazing, she's so tiny and her voice is so powerful.

Julian Casablancas (of the Strokes) Santogold, and Pharrell link up to create "My Drive Thru" for Converse. i first noticed this ad in the current issue of Paper mag, but i'm not one to give advertisements too much attention until i started to peep the pic up on some other sites. then when i discovered there was a free download involved i decided to give it a try. "My Drive Thru" is currently in the top 3 of my favorite songs this season. the beat alone with the guitars is sexy enough, but with P's Prince-like vocals, Julian's rock-star cool, and Santi's subtle lyrical jabs--yeah this is a definitely a go.

here's a clip of n.3.r.d. during their set about to perform "Rockstar". i would've had more to record if i didn't get caught with my camera. they were confiscating cams there but luckily i was just given a warning when i got a tap on my shoulder and was swung the big "no, no, no" finger. *sigh* it's so nice to be a girl lol.

the first time i heard Santogold's voice was on a Mark Ronson track called "Pretty Green." but now i've been playing her new cd for the past 24 hours and i haven't had to skip a song... it's just that good. my favorite tracks are: "Anne", "I'm a Lady", "You'll Find a Way (remix)", "Say Aha", and "Shove It (switch remix)". this music video came out in March and is titled "L.E.S. Artistes." enjoy!!

TMZ has footage of three out of the four ND members out for dinner. now i did hear that the group was getting back together for a new cd so this outing does put some hope into that rumor. it's been long over due since the band has released any new material and i'm sure that their fans (myself included) would love to see them re-group. i mean, people who work together do go out to eat right? RIGHT??!!
