The first time I saw this dress was on my homie's Jewels' web page. I knew I wanted it, but I just didn't know when I'd get around to buying it. But now that there's an American Apparel in the Mall at Short Hills, today I made the leap and bought it. I got the black with black straps and I'm hoping to find the silver and fuchsia metallic cords as well. Anyway it's a great piece and I can see myself wearing it ALOT.
on friday i took a quick trip to Woodbridge Mall in NJ to return an unused dress to XXI. but ladies, you know their return policy: NO MONEY BACK. EXCHANGE ONLY! no worries, i was able to swap the $25 dress for four items and only had to pay a buck and some change. sooo, here's what i got:

i also got these really cute satin fuchsia peep toe sling back pumps for $5.99!! they were the laaast pair. you can tell they were a bit worn, but they were a great fit and price, so i was taking them. a pic will come soon... as soon as i find an occasion to wear them to :)

Woven 3Q Gingham Shirt
$14.50

Peace On Earth Tote
$1.50

Rhinestone Stud Earring Set
$3.80

i <3 Santana's shoes (and no i don't mean that little rapper guy who rolls with Cam'ron). i'm talking about the living legend Carlos Santana. he's had a shoe line for a few years now and he's styles are like latina women; very spicy and very sexy. the new Snake Story line has been released but the pic above is displaying the Tuxedo sandal in fuchsia. so what do you think? would these be worthy of adorning your feet? i don't really see them on mine BUT there is a particular shoe in the color plantino that i do have my eyes on! so ladies (and gents) it's ooh la la or eww la la. comment away!

not so much lol. my ex-boyfriend took me to my first Roots show in 2000 at the Hammerstien Ballroom and since then they've always been one of my favorite acts to see. i even have the cassette single of "What They Do" that i purchased from Orange Music on Main Street somewhere in my attic lol. anyway, this is a cool song i can relate to because everyone who knows me best or who has been in my car knows that i can't stand the radio and the only time it gets played is if i forgot my iPod or my cd player is acting up. a lot of this mainstream stuff out here is garbage and we all know it! so as you're "Rising Up", enjoy some good music.
ps. peep Chrisette's fuchsia nail polish...go girrrl!!

so she's taking over my blog, but i don't care. anywho-- here's Sarah Jessica at the 'Smart People' movie screening in a fuchsia jacket by Jill Sanders. so what do you think? ooh la la or eww la la? leave a comment!
